Nebraska State Regulations
- The licensee may participate in independent study.
- A maximum of two hours of independent study per biennium will be allowed.
- Independent study must be related to either Nebraska cosmetology law and administrative rules or sanitation.

Bloodborne Pathogens
Course Description
Classroom Online's course is for workers with potential occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials in the course of performing their assigned duties and tasks. Topics include an overview of the regulatory requirements covering bloodborne pathogens, symptoms of bloodborne diseases, recommended engineering control measures, proper disposal of contaminated materials, selection of personal protective equipment (PPE), corrective actions, information on post-exposure evaluation, and signs and labels. This course focuses on the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.1030 Subpart Z.
